Day 1: Enroute to Bwindi
The guide will pick you up from the hotel or Kigali Airport and travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The journey takes you past the Volcanoes National Park of Rwanda. Have a stopover at Twin Lakes – take pictures. Cross over to Uganda using the Cyanika Border. Continue with the scenic drive through the Virunga Mountains of Mgahinga National Park. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Early in the morning take breakfast. The guide will pick you up for a transfer to the park headquarters where you will get briefed by a ranger guide on how you will successfully carry out gorilla trekking. After the briefing, embark on your hike into the thick forest for the opportunity to see the rare mountain gorillas in their natural setting. During the hike, you may also encounter different mammals in the forest. Bwindi protects different wild animals including the buffaloes, black-fronted duiker and more. The gorilla trek offers you up to 1 hour to watch the gorillas in their natural habitat. After the trek, embark on a return trip to Kigali.
