This 4 Days (3 Nights) Uganda Safari combines two amazing experiences; golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga National Park and gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

The tour starts with a visit to the mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO world heritage site in South Western Uganda. Bwindi is the best destination for mountain gorilla trekking. It has a healthy population of over 450 mountain gorillas that live in different families within the forest. There are about 20 habituated gorilla families that can be visited in the forest and you will visit one of the habituated gorilla families in Bwindi.

After the gorilla trek, travel to the nearby Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, one of the few places where you can see the golden striking monkeys. You will hike to the high slopes to track the golden monkeys.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Uganda
Meet and Greet with our professional safari guide. He will brief you shortly, lunch and then go for a brief Kigali City Tour. Visit the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site, Local art and Craft shops, fruit markets among others. Transfer to Uganda via the Katuna Border. Overnight at
RUHIJA – Gift of Nature Lodge (Budget) / Bakiga Lodge or Gorilla Mist Camp (Midrange) / Agandi Lodge (Luxury)
RUSHAGA – Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge (Budget) / Rushaga Gorilla Camp (Midrange) / Chameleon Hill Lodge or Bwindi Nkuringo Camp (Overnight)

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Breakfast, with your packed lunch, bottled mineral water and tracking gears, travel to the information center. Get briefed by game rangers with whom you will hike through Bwindi impenetrable forest for gorilla tracking. The time taken on a gorilla trek is unpredicatble and most gorilla treks take 4 to 6hrs or a whole day depending on the movement of the gorilla groups. Stay with Gorillas. Upon meeting the mountain gorillas, you have a maximum of one hour to watch the gorillas, learn about them and take photos. Return to the information center. Have Lunch and travel to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in South West Uganda.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking
After breakfast, you will be transfered to the Ntebeko at the park headquarters of Mgahinga National Park. You will be briefed by the UWA guides and then go for  a guided  hike to the lower slopes where Golden monkeys live. Within the bamboo zone, you will find the golden monkeys, another unique attraction of the scenic Mgahinga Forest. The experience is amazing since you will be able to encounter them in their natural habitat!!After the the golden opportunity, have lunch in Kisoro. Return to your Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Travel to Kigali

After breakfast, embark on a return trip to Kigali.
It is also possible to be dropped off in Kampala, the capital of Uganda.
