Trip Itinerary

DAY 1: Your Adventure Begins
You will be Met by our guide who will transfer you to Kigali City. You will Drive North of Kigali to Kinigi through Ruhengeri. Enjoy the rolling hills for which Rwanda is well known and it was named a land of a thousand hills . Dinner and overnight Virunga Hotel/Muhabura Hotel (Budget) / Da Vinci Lodge or Le Bamboo Gorilla Lodge (Midrange) / Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (Luxury)

DAY 2: Parc National des Volcans
Early morning our tour guide will take you to Kinigi Park Headquarters to track gorillas in Parc National des Volcans. Gorilla trekking through the forest, hills and swamps can be rough, grueling and tiring, sometimes taking up to long hours in the forest searching for those great apes. But coming face to face with the great primates is well worth the effort.

DAY 3: Journey to Uganda
Drive to Kisoro and on to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda. Either guided nature walk in Gahinga. After lunch you will visit the natural, beautiful-looking Lake Mutanda, surrounded by the volcanoes, take a walk on the shores. Dinner and overnight Kisoro Tourist Hotel (Budget) / Travelers Rest Hotel (Midrange) / Mount Gahinga Lodge (Luxury)

DAY 4: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters. Get briefed about gorilla tracking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Guided by park rangers, start the hike into the jungles to look out for the Nyakagezi Gorilla Family that is resident within the park. Upon meeting the mountain gorillas, return to the park headquarters. Have Lunch.Travel to the Rushaga Sector or Nkuringo Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Haven (Budget) / Rushaga Gorilla Camp (Midrange) / Chameleon Hill Lodge (Luxury)

DAY 5: Gorilla tracking
Gorilla tracking in Rushaga or Nkuringo, point for gorilla tracking. It is physically challenging so physical fitness is a great paramount when tracking in nkuringo. Trackers should have their lunch packed for them since this activity may take too long when searching for the great apes. Relax at the lodge after the gorilla trek. Dinner and overnight at Travellers Rest Hotel/clouds gorilla lodge/nkuringo gorillas camp.

DAY 6: In Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a peaceful nature retreat in Western Uganda. Relax at the shores of the lake, as you await for your lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat ride and visit one of the islands within the Lake. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Overland Camp (Budget) / Arcadia Cottage (Midrange) / Lake Bunyonyi Bird Nest (Luxury)

DAY 7: Rwanda
Depart for Kigali in Rwanda via the Katuna border. If time allows, go for a city tour including shopping. Drop Off at the Airport.
